Climate and Sustainability

Climate and sustainability is something we talk a lot nowadays, but indeed words are not enough and the serious action is crucial.

Although a number of people care about environment, schools still fail to provide in-depth knowledge about this issue. This results in carelessness and ignorance among young people who later will become adult citizens. 

Air pollution remains a severe issue too, with aviation being a main contributor, in fact planes emit a over 900 million tonnes of CO2 annually. The increase of private jets and cheap flights makes the situation even worse.

Moreover, the usage of cars instead of public transport contributes to smog and emissions. There is a lack of it in some places and it is not always easily available.

Another urgent problem are plastic bags, packaging and single-use plastic items still dominate most EU shops contributing to land and sea pollution such as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which is now three times the size of France.   

As young people we are really concerned about our and ours children future so we want to present our demands for those issues.
